  • We just got back from Georgia yesterday.  It's been the experience of a lifetime.  Trips are always good, but so many things happened that are so intense I don't even know where to start.  I'm just glad that I had a chance to do this before I graduated.

  • Alright, dad, this one's for you, so next time you ask mom if I've updated, she'll have something to say to you.  Phoenix was one of the best trips I've taken yet.  We drove the first day 24 hours from Ft. Myers to Temple, TX, and stayed what was left of the night.  The next day we went to Hobbs, NM, where we did a youth service at the church that Justin Long is now the youth pastor of.  Zane came from that church, and so did 5 of the first year boys.  It was probably one of the best services I'd been in a long time.  From there it was another 20-something hour drive to Phoenix.  The conference was good, and I got to see John Latourelle and hang out with him for a little while after one of the services.  He's probably back in Bemidji by now, or close to it.  On the way back we stopped at Kent's house in Oklahoma (another 20-something hours) and stayed there all day Sunday and did a service Sunday night.  It was amazing just to rest and enjoy not being on the bus.  They had a pool table and his parents were amazing and we went out to eat at Kent's all-time favorite Mexican resturant.  We left at 3:30am Monday and got back to Ft. Myers at 1 am Tuesday, which made it about another 20-21 hour trip.  I went through 2 new states (Oklahoma and Arkansas) which brings the grand total up to 25.  I'm half-way there.  We didn't go to the Grand Canyon, which was disappointing, but to get through Oklahoma we drove through the mountains in northern Arizona (Flagstaff area) and they were absolutely breathtaking.  Now I understand why people move there.  It's hard to see in Phoenix, but the northern part of the state is amazing.  Well, it was over 92 hours on the bus by the end of it all, and now I'm safely back in Ft. Myers.  I love you both.
